Mistake Rib Scarf

I haven't written a pattern in a little while, but I was messing around as usual and came up with something that I really liked so thought I'd jot it down for you so if any of you wanted to give it a go, you could!

Mistake Rib Scarf

Size 10mm (US Size 13) needles
100g DK - Dark Blue

100g DK - Blue

This pattern uses both yarns at the same time.  I used complimentary colours, but you could use colours that clash to make make something bright and different.

Cast on 31 stitches
Row 1: (P2, K2) until last 3 stitches.  P2, K1

Repeat this row until the scarf is the required length, then cast off.

A Year In Blankets

After a very successful day knitting and crocheting at Thorpe Hall Hospice (Sue Ryder), I have decided to crotchet more blankets for next year. They managed to get 34 blankets done this year which was 8 less than last so I am determined to make sure we get more for next year.

Blankets must be either 4 foot by 4 foot for covering legs whilst sitting or 6 foot by 4 foot for beds. I have already started making a blanket and my aim is to have done at least 4 blankets for next year. I will try to remember to update this blog at least once a month to how I am progressing!

Finally

I have finally finished the blanket that I started for one of my nephews. I am really pleased how it worked out. So am sending that off by the end of this month.

I have started another blanket. A friend of mine saw a pattern she liked so for a surprise I am trying to get it completed, however I have a funny feeling I won't get it finished as I have an assignment to get finished and handed in just after her birthday. So I'll try and juggle both.

Another Year

Its been a bad start already to this year with one of my nephews and one of my brothers in hospital and my husband being really poorly, hopefully he won't go into hospital either.

Anyway, I have started an Aghan blanket as a present for a friend's birthday. I know she likes the pattern as she commented on it when I was thinking of buying the book its in.
